Hey there! I’m a Graphic Design student at IED Milano with a passion for data visualization, motion design, and infographics. Before diving into design, I worked as a researcher in environmental science, running experiments and analyzing data. Now, I blend my scientific background with creativity to turn complex ideas into clear and engaging visuals.
I’ve already gained experience as a freelancer, collaborating with universities and research groups to design scientific posters, graphical abstracts, and infographics.

Who am I ? Scientific and grafical experience
SCIENTIFIC EXPERIENCE
After completing a Bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Milan, I earned a Master's degree in Ecotoxicology and Environmental Sustainability in 2022. My thesis was conducted in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Milan and the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas CISC (Barcelona). I spent two periods abroad, the first during my master's thesis, where I was a guest for three months at the CSIC in Barcelona. After graduation, I spent three months at the University of Geneva working on the accumulation of mercury in freshwater diatoms.
In 2022, I commenced my doctoral studies and secured a research fellowship at the University of Siena. My research focuses on the environmental safety of engineered nanomaterials for the removal of emerging contaminants from seawater. I have always aspired to integrate my scientific and graphic personalities, and scientific illustration has proven to be the perfect solution. I specialise in creating infographics to convey scientific concepts to both scientific audiences and the general public, as well as graphical abstracts and figures specifically designed for publication. In general, my aim is to effectively communicate a science story using design and illustration.
GRAPHICAL EXPERIENCE
During my PhD, I published my first papers featuring my illustrations and graphics in journals such as Le Scienze, Environmental Science: Nano (for which I also obtained a cover feature), Ecological Indicators, and Heliyon. I initially trained as a self-taught artist, later completing a digital illustration course with Photoshop at JobFormazione, an illustration course at Daniele Marotta's School of Comics and Writing, courses in scientific illustration and data visualization at the Karolinska Institute, and I participated in a masterclass in Scientific Illustration for Life Scientists with Sci-Illustrate. In November, I will begin a one-year Master's programme in Graphic Design at IED. I use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, and am working on incorporating Adobe InDesign into my skill set
